Dartington Steel Design - Based in Dartington, near Totnes in Devon, this traditional manufacturer employs both hand forged and modern engineering techniques to produce a stunning range of door and window handles, latches, locks, hinges and other items. All products are available in black, and a patina finish - a pewter coloured look applied to steel that has excellent anit-corrosion properties. In addition, many items can be supplied in solid polished and satin brass and rust effect. Dartington also employ wood and porcelain lever handles on some of their range. The latter are made to order in the French town of Limoge by one of the few remaining companies in France producing such items. Some lever handle sets can also be supplied as left or right handed. Also available are metal electrical fittings for three-pin plug sockets, switches and telephone and TV sockets.
